Tencon built 119 rental apartments at Henttaa Puistokatu in Espoo, in a block with four staircases and underground parking. Mestamaster provided the scheduling app and the site support, with partner Tahcon running the daily support and the morning huddles. 76 takts ran across 38 takt areas in 9 months, to handover in early 2024.

The Customer
Tencon is part of the Avain Yhtiöt group and was founded in 2017 as a contractor specialising in new construction. It works in the Helsinki region on large apartment buildings, running projects as total contracts with the site and the procurement in its own hands.

How it was done
Tencon ran the project with Mestamaster and Tahcon. Mestamaster provided the scheduling app and the site support; Tahcon handled the daily support needs and the morning huddles. The site was supported with:
- The schedule made together with site management
- Meetings to bring the subcontractors in
- Logistics designed and scheduled alongside the work
- A review of the contracts
- Updates and refinements to the takt schedule as production ran
Results
The gain on this project came from putting the logistics and the construction schedule together. The interior phase then ran stably, almost boringly so, which is what happens when the foresight and the production preparation have been done properly.
